There are many house styles to choose from and countless ways to mix up your exterior design. We have researched five of the most popular American home genres and outlined how you can incorporate a beautiful Eagle concrete tile roof into your façade.

Contemporary

This present-day form is characterized by homes that look distinctly minimalistic, asymmetrical and use lots of natural light. They have open floor plans, large windows, natural materials and clean lines. These structures are normally designed to be as green as possible. An extremely eco-friendly roofing material to pair with these types of buildings is an Eagle concrete tile roof, which will help lower power consumption due to its energy efficient properties.

A gorgeous tile for this architecture is our svelte Bel Air profile in the color 4595 Dark Charcoal. With its smooth surface and defined lines, it will add depth and a luxurious feel to any contemporary house with a sloped roof. Also, this deep pepper shade is on trend and very popular with creamy white exterior base colors.

Craftsman

Craftsman homes are symmetrical with gabled roofs, wide layouts, front porches, columns, and at times, exposed rafters and beams. There is often a mixture of materials used such as stucco, wood, siding, brick and stone.

A stunning option for this style is our Golden Eagle profile in the shade 1687 Brown Gray Range*, our 2022-2023 Color of the Year. This tile has raked lines that will add texture and depth while giving the lodging a rustic vibe. Such an alluring mixture of mocha and ash hues is a brilliant choice as it can beautifully complement just about any palette ranging from deep natural hues to bold pops of color. This fantastic neutral is also available in Bel Air for those interested in a sleeker roofscape.

Cape Cod

A centered front entryway and chimney are common for relaxing Cape Cod homes. These buildings also have gabled dormers, double-hung windows with shutters, and steep roofs.

Our Tapered Slate profile in the shade 49655 Mount Dora Blend* is superb for a graceful Cape Cod dwelling. This tile will give the roofscape texture and dimension perfect for its seaside location. Gray roofs are excellent for this architecture because they pair easily with beachy exterior paints like blue and green.

Mediterranean Revival

To emulate a luxurious villa, this style is your ideal pick. Classic and lavish, influences of the Italian Renaissance and Spanish Revival combine to create an exquisite look that attracts the eyes of all passersby. Adorned in red-tiled roofs, cream stucco, stonework, raw iron and metalwork, and heavy ornamental details, this architecture transports you straight to Europe.

A no-brainer for this genre is our high barrel Capistrano profile in the color 3664 Terracambra Range*. The elegant curves of the tile will tastefully complement the arches in the structure. If you’re looking for a contemporary touch, our medium-height Malibu profile is also an excellent option. The more subtle waves of this roof tile will give the overall appearance a present-day feel while still reflecting the Mediterranean prestige. Our time-honored terracotta shade, Terracambra Range, is also available in Malibu.

Ranch

Once the dominant architecture for residential communities due to its ease to build, these houses are found throughout the whole country. They are known for their simple, open floor plans, low-pitched roofline, large windows, attached garages and are often single-story.

Our Ponderosa profile in the shade 5557 Live Oak* is a wonderful choice for this home. Emulating wood shake, this mixture of rosy brown hues and dark brown streaks will give a quaint ranch house a befitting roof covering that will not only pair with a multitude of muted hues and pleasant earth tones but also last the life of the structure.

Whether you’re going for a traditional Spanish villa, a contemporary abode or something in between, you can crown your home with an Eagle concrete tile roof to boost your curb appeal and property value.
